At Our Savior Lutheran Church we celebrate the historic liturgy, which means "priestly service". It is the service we, as priests of God, offer to the Holy Trinity and during which the Holy Trinity Himself comes to serve us with His saving love.
Service times are every Sunday at 10am and 7pm. We are wheelchair accessible, and offer nursery care during our morning service for children up to three.
Why we worship with the Liturgy
It delivers what Christ earned for us by His sinless life, substitutionary death on the Cross, and resurrection, namely: the forgiveness of sins (John 15:3).
It puts the Holy Spirit’s own Words (Holy Scripture) into our ears, creating faith in us (Romans
10:16; John 6:63).
It calls each one, as His priest, to offer the sacrifices of praise in the God-pleasing Words of Scripture (1 Pet. 2:9,10; Is. 59:21; Heb. 13:15f).
It joins us with the ancient, one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church (2 Thes. 2:13-15; Jude 3; 1 Cor.
14:36, 15:1-8; Rev. 7:9).
It enables to pray in unison as ‘one body’ joined together by the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:1-4; Acts 2:42).
It sends us out into our Father’s world worshipping and proclaiming Christ through loving our
Lord and our neighbor (Numbers 6:22-27; Luke 24:50-53; Rom. 12:1).
